Today is the first day of June – the first Summer month – and if I should believe the weather forecast the temperatures will climb to Summer heat also later this week. Time to think about this season and what I will do in those months. No, I’m not going on a vacation. I have everything I need right here… my atelier and the dunes, beach and North Sea just around the corner.
I will spend this Summer freewheeling, relaxing, get something done in the house (starting with de-cluttering and cleaning my atelier this week,) writing (inspirational blogposts for Quirky Dutch Summer, new workshops, maybe start with a book that I have in mind?) and a lot of creativeness.
When it comes to being creative… here’s some things that will keep the inspiration flowing over the next months. If YOU are looking for some inspiration, check it out!

ICAD 2015 Facilitated by Daisy Yellow. I looked up my stack of Index Cards and decided to play along – I might not create 61 cards but it’s a nice, little creative ‘task’ to work on in between other things. (I will post my cards on Friday.) |

The Documented Life Project I’m still working on DLP art journal pages. I’m a few weeks behind, but will catch up this Summer. |
And then there’s of course my Chronicles art journal. This journal has my priority. However busy I am, I keep on creating Chronicles pages, keeping track of my life (weeks) for the sixth year now. Here’s two more pages.
The Chronicles of Marit 2015 – Week 19
The Chronicles of Marit 2015 – Week 20
I posted a photo of my stack of art journals last week. The Chronicles make for quite a high pile! If you have not seen it, it’s in this blogpost.
I wish you all a great start of the month and a lot of inspiration!
Zucht…ik heb vooreerst alleen nog maar deze Zomerweek voor mezelf voor de boeg…en die wil ik gaan genieten, hopelijk met veel creativiteit. Jouw chronicles zijn echt een prachtig project!
Lieve groetjes – Irma
Especially love Chronicles, week 20. Wonderfully strong graphic elements combined with text in a variety of sizes and fonts, creating both contrast and unity. Visually delicious!
Summer can be a time to stretch our minds, bodies and to network.
I love that your Chronicle Art Pages give you so much joy Marit, and give your Blog friends food for thought!
Unfortunately here is Australia it is the first day of winter but I am braving the cold tonight and catching a train into the city to see Vivid Sydney (a light spectacular).
Keep shining my dear friend.
Big hugs
