Happy, happy, HAPPY boggyversary to Julia and all my fellow-‘deskers’ over at WOYWW. Can you believe it’s been 11th years since Julia started her weekly Wednesday-desk posts and it’s grown into a nice community with room for everyone… I started to join in 2013 so for me it’s 7 years of showing my desk to you…
in stead of swapping ATCs with my fellow deskers – a thing we usually do to celebrate – Julia came up with a new, ‘coronaproof’ plan for this year’s anniversary so we would not overload the Post Offices with extra work: “drag out a UFO (any craft, any age) or a kit, or ‘thing’ that you’ve promised to do ‘at some point’ and actually do it. Take the challenge and show us on WOYWW 572.”
I took the challenge and dragged out an old harmonica-book (see last week’s post) that I had laying around for almost two years, and never finished… I worked on it for several days and it’s ‘going some-where’ but I don’t think it’s finished yet.

I think it’s too pale still… it needs some more contrast. Maybe some Indian ink? (Splatter? Text?)
Dutch Dares Scrapbook Challenge
Today, a new challenge was posted in the Dutch Dares challenge group. It’s a sketch…
… and as a guest-designer, I created this layout.
Yes, that’s me on my scooter (is that the right translation? In Dutch it’s called “a step”.) Journaling says that my dad always laughs when he sees this photo: “You loved that scooter, to SIT on. You never actually rode it!”
It’s almost afternoon already… I’m late posting but I had a tough night (insomnia can be a burden) so I took some extra time in bed this morning.
Thanks for dropping by my blog, I hope to make a start with my ‘desk round’ today and finish visiting everyone that’s on the list later this week, so see ya!

Fabulous scrap book page Marit. I like the way that you divided the photo of you on the scooter into three. The accordion book is coming along nicely. Perhaps some text and a few focal images here and there. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #15.

Morning Marit. Happy 11th anniversary. Sorry you haven’t slept well, but glad you were able to stay in bed a while longer – wonderful bonus of the lockdown! I like your little book. Well done. Lovely scrapbook page – I enjoy cutting photos and putting them together slightly skew as well.
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

Happy 11th Anniversary WOYWW. I love the accordion book so far, and I agree that some pops of bright colour (plus black/white) would really make it dance. Great scrapbook page. I am inspired to try dividing photos. Stay safe. Ali x #18

Amazing scrapbook, Marit!! – I am always in doubt when doing such things – because sometimes I think it is too colourful and sometimes not at all 🙂
I love what you have done !! I do hope you are doing fine down in Holland? – Denmark is closing up very slowly and hopefully we do not get the virus running rampant after that.
Thank you so much for sharing!
Happy WOYWW Anniversary

I’m in love with the colours of your Harmonica book Marit reminds me of Autumn which you know that I love, but I understand your need to add to the colour palette we are all need in vibrant change right now.

Happy 11th Anniversary, Marit. That’s a wonderful project you created. I was so in love with it because of the abstract circles and geometric shapes. However, I see what you mean about it being pale. I still think it’;s beautiful and I’m sure you will figure out how to finish it so it makes YOU happy. I already was (grin). I loved the scrapbook page, Not sure any one else has mentioned this, but in the states we call that a tricycle. It’s genius the way you managed to arrange the photos so beautifully and still keep the pattern required, Happy WOYWW from # 6.

I love your little accordion book, Marit! They seem to be quite popular on WOYWW at the moment – several people are doing them and they inspired me to have a go so I made my hubby’s birthday card that way. Your journal page is great too – lovely use of the photo.
Happy WOYWW 11th anniversary,

Happy 11th WOYWW anniversary Marit,
What a lovely accordion book/card, it is really worth finishing, and I like the picture of you on a scooter.
Sorry to hear you don’t sleep well, it can be very frustrating, lying awake waiting for the night to end.
Bless you for sharing

I like your book as it is, all I would do is add some darkening to the edges or something. Your LO is lovely, I do like how you cut the photograph into three sections and put them together again. I have seen this done with an image on a card and thought how effective it is. It works so well with this delightful photograph of you.
A little different to the previous birthday celebrations – I remember having you as my partner, was it last year? Happy Anniversary anyway.
Hugs, Neet 5vxx

Hello Marit! I really like the pastel colors on the booklet. You and I have been on WOYWW for almost the same amount of time. It’s been my pleasure to be a part of this group. Your layout is beautiful. I am just getting back into scrapbooking and trying to find ways to keep me into it so I can use up the massive amount of supplies I have accumulated!! Thanks for visiting me. I feel special getting a visitor from Holland! Stay well, my friend.

Thank you for visiting, Marit, and for your encouraging words, letting me off the guilt hook over my UFOs haha! You are right – it’s not worth stressing over them. I shall complete what I feel the urge to work on, and ignore the rest – inspiration to finish them may come later on. Who knows? Life’s too short!

Sorry I’m late! Oh Marit that sweet picture of you and your scooter, and the story! al makes a fab page for the scrapbook and the DT. I love it. And that you thought it was always a good place to sit, how funny! Your accordion book is fab already, I think not pale really, but not as bright as I often associate with your art. It made me smile that you add ? To the ideas for ink and other contrasts….I for one have no idea but am flattered that you asked!!
