I write this blogpost on Tuesday evening because I have an appointment tomorrow (Wednesday) and won’t be around to photograph my desk or write a blogpost… there’s not much to see on my work desk anyway. Well, there is, but I am working on an assignment that I cannot reveal yet so the major part of my deks cannot be photographed… which leaves me with this photo…
An old newspaper (I use as an under layer to my work) sharpies and my reading glasses. Yep, I used all these colors on the ‘thingie’ I’m working on. It is a project that makes me smile… I will be able to show you photos of it somewhere in June.
When I looked around on my desks, I found more spots that I could photograph.
This is an unfinished art journal page that I am working on for The Documented Life Project Art Challenge #11:ย As a Focal Point (“Coming into Focus.”) It needs journaling/lettering – I plan on journaling in white around the circle.
And finally, here’s the ‘folded paper strip’ that lay on my desk for so long… it will turn out into a tiny journal eventually… I started gluing some paper-scraps and doodling just a bit. It’s far from finished though. It’s probably one of those projects that takes months before I finish it.
Do you have projects like that? Pages that you work on for only a little while and then put to the side again – projects that for some reason take forever to finish?
Last but not least – if you visit my woyww-posts on a regular base you may remember the ‘to-do’ lists I have hanging on my window sill. In this post you can take a closer look at those notes and I explain all about my future (creative) plans. That’s if you’re interested…
If you’re not, and rather go on visiting other artists’ blog, that’s OK with me. I recommend you hit back to Julia’s then, as she hosts WOYWW and the list with links to more artists’ desk can be found on her blog.
Oh I do like that strip-to-be-folded journal. I have a Sharpie paint pen, just one (white) but no idea they came in so many colours. Looking forward to seeing your hidden project ๐
Happy WOYWW and I’m not fooling’!

I don’t have projects like the paper strip…I spend so long thinking about doing things that they never actually get started! Ilove the ‘Focus’ picture, even I understand the need for journalling in white! I didn’t know that there were different varieties of sharpie pen…these poster paint pens are fabulous colours. Looking forward to seeing what you’ve been doing!
How come you be so early today?? We say: “Bist du aus dem Bett gefallen?” – did you fall out of your bed?
I love secrets – have them also – it is always nice to reveal them ๐ Love your journal page and the mini book, I want to start making some myself again. They make wonderful presents.

I call those projects UFO’s (unfinished objects) and I have plenty of them. I do love the idea of that strip of paper becoming a mini journal. Hmm have to come back to see that one finished. Thanks for sharing your desk, well what we could see LOL
Happy WOYWW

Me too, I have lots of half finished projects. Sometimes when making something I will make two particularly with cards but don’t always finish both. When I’m in a rush to make another card there’s always one half made!
Happy woyww, Angela x 29
I do have several projects going on all the time, so I can relate! I’m intrigued by the project you can’t show us … and I’ll be sure to return to satisfy my curiosity. ::nods:: Love your journal and journal page too!
Hey Marit, I like the sneak peek (aka sharpies) I also love focal point page. Hope you have a Happy Easter. Cx #50

An, the concertina of paper… at last it’s becoming a Something, Marit! So far, it’s a Something Lovely – I’ll keep watching!
The “Focus” project is really nice. I hope you post it again, when it’s finished.
And now I really want to know what you have been making with those Sharpies!!
Happy Wednesday,

Yes, I’m a list person! I make lots of lists and hang them where I can see them. Or stick them on the fridge (if kitchen related). You have lots of things you want to/ need to do. There’s never enough time is there!
You journal page is stunning. Yes, white letters would look great!
Have a great week and Happy Easter!

(Zie mijn blog)
Jij in elk geval succes en tot a.s. zaterdag.
