Good morning sweeties, glad to see you again. It’s been two weeks… yes, I skipped last week’s Wednesday blogpost because I got all occupied with my art. I went into some sort of creative flow and didn’t want to disturb that, so I kept on going. As a result, I have a lot to show you. I won’t publish it all at once though but still, it’s a lot so I won’t talk much today – instead, there’s some extra photos. Enjoy!

A few years ago (September 2017) I started working on a new series of ‘small collage-mixed-media’ pieces. It was a sequel to my earlier series Letters from the Wasteland. I created two pieces back then, but the project got ‘lost and forgotten’ at the bottom of a drawer after that… until I found it last week and picked it up again.

I missed an opportunity there! I just told everyone I was missing because I don’t know what day it is any more!! Joking apart, I do agree though about not interrupting the creative juices – I think artistic people have to be pretty selfish to get things done. Dinner time is a particular bugbear of mine as it often takes me a whole day to get to the point where I know what I’m doing!! Sorry I’m late Marit! Lovely to see you’re engrossed in your work, it’s all very inspiring. Your gel prints are fab, and I’m afraid I still can’t agree that the big desk is a mess, so organised!! Great job with the LO, brilliant sketch interpretation.
i love all your projects this week, Marit! Especially the Seagulls III one which has such fabulous texture. Your layout from the turned around sketch is great. Lovely to see your nice busy desk and the gelli printing (something I haven’t yet tried).
